UPF is looking for alumni to mentor Lund students

Would you like to support a student as they take their first steps towards their future career?

Each year, The Association of Foreign Affairs in Lund (UPF – Utrikespolitiska Föreningen) organises a Mentorship programme connecting students with experienced professionals for a one-on-one mentoring experience.

Traditionally, the programme has partnered with mentors from the Lund Diplomatic Club. For 2027, we are expanding the programme beyond diplomacy to reflect the diverse career interests and aspirations of our students, particularly our international student community.

We welcome mentors from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including international organizations, NGOs and the non-profit sector, academia and research, consultancy, public institutions, and other oriented fields.

The Mentorship Programme runs from January to December 2027. Mentors and mentees are encouraged to maintain regular contact throughout the year, while the Career Committee organizes occasional check-ins and networking opportunities. Mentor-mentee matching will take place in December 2026 based on professional interests, career aspirations, and other relevant preferences.

Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional, we would love to hear from Lund University alumni interested in supporting the professional development of current students.

Application deadline: 16 November 2026 at 23:59 CET
