Lund alumna awarded the “Genius Grant”

Holly Jean Buck MacArthur Fellowship

Lund University alumna Holly Jean Buck is among this year’s recipients of one of the United States’ most prestigious honours: the MacArthur Fellowship, often referred to as the “genius grant.” The fellowship comes with an $800,000 award paid over five years, with no strings attached, giving recipients the freedom to pursue their work wherever it may lead.

Lund University alumna Holly Jean Buck (MSc, 2011), who also holds degrees from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and Cornell University, is a sociologist and energy policy researcher whose work explores the social, ethical, and political dimensions of climate and energy policy, as well as emerging technologies.
